Your Questions Answered
I look forward to meeting you at your first visit. Here are the most commonly asked questions to help you get started.
Where do I start?
Schedule an appointment online or message Dr. Alison. After scheduling, you will receive an email with your initial paperwork and forms. Please complete these at least 24 hours before your first consultation.
What will we do at the first consultation?
During your first appointment, we will review your health history, your symptoms, and goals for your health and wellness. You will receive an initial ‘jump-start’ plan for your health, we will discuss testing (if needed), and immediately begin support.
All of your appointments will be virtual or telemedicine. You have the option to use video through our private and secure website or by phone.
What happens after the first consult?
Based on your goals and needs, we will create a custom plan for you. You will learn what the root cause of your symptoms are, how to address them, and get support along the way. You can schedule individual appointments as needed or save time and money with our Direct Care Program.
Are consultation services covered by insurance?
Insurance does not cover consultations, supplements, and some testing.
Payment is due prior to the consultation and upon request, I can provide you with a receipt for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Coverage for lab services may vary based upon individual insurance plans, we will work with you to determine the best price. We accept all major credit cards through online invoicing.
Can I use the savings in my Health Savings Account (HSA) or funds in my Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) to pay for services?
Although payment is due at the time services are received, it is possible that these types of accounts could be used to pay for services. We encourage clients to consult with their healthcare administrator to discuss individual service coverage.
How long does an average visit take?
The initial consultation or visit will last up to 60 minutes, the length of an average consultation is 45 minutes. Please take advantage of this time to share your health history and current health issues so we can be aware of helping you reach all of your health goals.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
You may cancel your appointment up to 24 hours in advance. If you are not available during your scheduled call you will be billed for the missed visit. Your scheduled time belongs to you, however, if you are late to your appointment the time allotted will end when your scheduled time ends.
I am located outside of Saint Louis, can you still help?
Yes! I am licensed in all contiguous states in the United States. You can schedule an online consultation or message us.
